RV Essentials If you are one of the many snowbirds packing up your RV and heading south for the winter, here are some essential items to make sure you have with you on your travels.

  • Wand: to clean your black water tank
  • Folding shovel: useful for many reasons
  • Axe: ┬áto chop firewood and other items
  • Sewer hose support
  • Awning tie downs
  • Extensions cords
  • Duct tape and electrical tape
  • Bungee cords
  • Extra flashlights and batteries
  • Extra trash can that you can keep outside
  • Extra tools: ┬áhave to be prepared for anything that might need fixing
  • Co-ax cable if your campsite offers cable service
  • Electrical tester: to test the electrical service at your campsite
  • Small model vacuum to keep your RV clean
  • Broom and dust pan
  • Ant spray and traps
  • Swiss army knife
  • Rope and string
  • Carpet or fake grass to wipe your feet on
  • Extra mirror: most RV bathrooms are too small for 2 people

Although not all of these items are necessary they are nice to have on hand if you need it. Just be mindful of how much you pack to ensure you do not exceed your weight load.
